Happy Burberry Day, Fashion Mavens! Burberry is pleased to announce that Thursday, May 28, 2009 has been declared Burberry Day in New York City. The proclamation was made by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Wednesday in of the fashion house’s continued investment in the Big Apple. .

The fifty foot long Burberry logos on the rooftop of the new Burberry Americas headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue will be lit across the Manhattan skyline for the first time this evening.The new 68,000 square foot facility opened in April 2009.In further celebration of Burberry Day, 20% of all purchases made at Burberry’s 57th Street and Spring Street locations will be donated to the brand’s childrens’ charity, The Burberry Foundation.
